II Azerbaijan International Vocal Festival

With the support of the Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan and the organization of the Heydar Aliyev Palace, the II Azerbaijan International Vocal Festival will be held from October 15 to 20, 2021.

The author of the idea and artistic director of the project, Honored Artist of Azerbaijan Ramil Gasimov said that the main goal of the festival is the development and popularization of Azerbaijani classical vocal music, the formation of a high musical taste among the younger generation. The most famous musicians and bands will take part in this festival. According to R. Gasimov, the II Azerbaijan International Vocal Festival will be met with interest and will become a real musical holiday that will remain in people's memory.

Within the framework of the festival, works of Azerbaijani and world classical music will be performed by famous Azerbaijani and foreign vocalists, accompanied by leading musical groups of our country.

Concerts, musical performances, romances, presentations, scientific and practical conferences will be presented at the Heydar Aliyev Palace, the Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre, the Azerbaijan State Academic Musical Theatre, the Azerbaijan State Academic Philharmonic Society, the International Mugham Center, the Azerbaijan National Conservatory, the Baku Academy of Music and the Ganja State Philharmonic.

The festival program will include works by such composers as U. Hajibeyli, F. Amirov, Niyazi, M. Magomayev, G. Verdi, Mozart, G. Puccini, A. Vivaldi, G. Bononchini, G. Handel, K. Gluck, A Scarlatti, A. Monteverdi.

The opening ceremony of the festival will take place on October 15 at the Chamber and Organ Music Hall of the Azerbaijan State Academic Philharmonic named after Muslim Magomayev. The Azerbaijan State Chamber Orchestra named after Gara Garayev will perform at the evening under the direction of the Honored Artist of Azerbaijan, conductor Eyyub Guliyev.

People's artists of the Republic of Azerbaijan  Samir Jafarov, Gulnaz Ismayilova, Honored artists Ramil Gasimov, Farida Mammadova, Inara Babayeva, Sabina Asadova and Ilham Nazarov, as well as baritone Jalal Karimov will perform at the evening of baroque music.
